GMT was established in 2017 and is headquartered in Huzhou, Zhejiang. The group has six business divisions providing stable and efficient intelligent manufacturing solutions and digital intelligent equipment to top domestic and international clients in fields such as electric vehicle components, traditional automotive components, body-in-white and component welding, powertrain, industrial standard equipment, precision machining, and intelligent driving. Currently, its business scope mainly covers areas such as drive-by-wire chassis, three electric systems, electronic components (ADAS, safety systems, sensors, etc.), BIW welding, thermal management, and hydrogen power.

GMT has successively won the "Major Industrial 'Large, Good, High-tech' Project" in Huzhou in 2017, the "South Taihu Elite Program" leading entrepreneurial team project, and was recognized as a key construction project in Zhejiang Province in 2017. In 2018, GMT was awarded the title of "Provincial Technology Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" and "Gazelle Enterprise" in Huzhou. In 2019, GMT was recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise. In 2020, GMT was successfully recognized as a municipal high-tech enterprise research and development center, a municipal enterprise technology center, and a municipal industrial design center. That same year, the project for the R&D and industrialization of "Complete Equipment for WCBS (Brake By Wire) for New Energy Vehicles" was included in the 2021 Zhejiang Provincial Key R&D Program. In 2021, GMT was selected as a Provincial High-tech Enterprise R&D Center, and in 2022, it was rated as a "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" small and medium-sized enterprise in Zhejiang Province. It was also recognized as a "Leading Talent Enterprise" in Huzhou's "South Taihu Elite Program." The project "Production Line for Linear Braking Equipment" was successfully recognized as the first (set) equipment in Zhejiang Province in 2023, and GMT received honors as a Zhejiang Provincial Enterprise Research Institute, a Zhejiang Provincial Intellectual Property Exemplary Enterprise, and a National Intellectual Property Advantageous Enterprise in 2023.
